Michał Gwóźdź

I make Angular apps fast — large-scale rendering, data-heavy UIs, and architecture that stays maintainable.

01 — Who I am

Performance at scale. Architecture that doesn't rot.

I'm a senior Angular developer focused on the two things enterprise teams struggle with most: keeping a large app fast, and keeping its codebase changeable as it grows. Over 9 years I've rendered data-heavy interfaces holding hundreds of thousands of live elements, refactored full applications onto scalable event-driven architectures, and built reusable component foundations used across multiple products. I work best where "it's too slow" or "it's too tangled to change" — and I leave behind something measurably faster and easier to maintain. I plug into your existing team, codebase and review process — no big-bang rewrites required.

02 — How I work

01

Audit

Measure the app, pinpoint the real bottleneck — a report with numbers, not vibes.

02

Plan

Scope the fix with measurable targets — LCP, bundle size, fps.

03

Implement

Ship the improvement in reviewable PRs, hand off maintainable code.

04

Prove

Every fix comes with a before / after measurement.

Engagements: performance audit · rescue & stabilization · ongoing support — scoped to the project, not the calendar

100k+
map elements, rendered client-side

Large-scale rendering · Swiss water-infrastructure GIS platform

Hundreds of thousands of live map elements — pipes, devices, markers — rendered client-side, smooth at a scale that normally freezes the browser. The core idea: only what's actually visible on screen gets drawn.

1 listener · 100k+ elements

Event-driven interaction core · GIS platform

One global listener instead of hundreds of thousands — the map asks a fast registry what was clicked and hands the event straight to the feature that owns it. No per-element handlers, nothing ever scans the full set.

3 providers · 1 codebase

Provider-agnostic map engine · GIS platform

Google, Leaflet and Baidu maps behind a unified adapter layer — swap providers without touching feature code.

minutes seconds in tests

Faster, safer CI · GIS platform & US fintech

Cut a test suite from minutes to seconds while expanding real coverage — faster feedback, cheaper CI, fewer regressions slipping through.

40% bundle

Leaner bundles, faster load · US social-commerce unicorn & GIS platform

Lazy loading and @defer, tree-shaking unused dependencies, tightened imports that pull only what's used, and migrating libraries to versions that support single-element imports — smaller bundles, faster first load.

write once · reuse everywhere

Reusable component libraries · healthcare, fintech, e-commerce & GIS

Themeable component libraries wrapping the UI framework or core mechanisms — one source of truth for behavior and styling, with full control over breaking changes on version bumps. Build a component once and use it across every app.

legacy modern

Incremental modernization, no big-bang rewrite · digital healthcare platform

A legacy ActionScript monolith replaced with Angular piece by piece — single components first, then whole modules — while the product kept shipping. Micro-frontend mechanisms delivered for ~12 frontend teams; the roadmap never stopped.

05 — What people say

Michał Gwóźdź is a great developer, whose work I have always appreciated, due to his speed of execution and the ability to find himself in a complex ecosystem. It has proven itself not only in typical frontend tasks, but also in basic backend tasks using node.js, express and nest.js. I sincerely recommend it as a frontend developer and as an aspiring full stack developer
Tymoteusz S. — Principal Full Stack Developer (Angular / React + node.js), Software Architect
I truly recommend working with Michał. He had no problems introducing himself to a very extensive application. He always tries to understand business requirements, takes care about the design and code quality. He cooperates very well with managers, frontend/backend developers and QAs. I recommend Michał for any Front End Development role.
